If you want to practise iaidō regularly, you can become a member of the Fūgetsudō Association and learn iaidō at the Fūgetsudō Dōjō.

Becoming a member comes with some benefits:

• Fūgetsudō Dōjō has two hours training twice a week, which makes approximately 90 lessons, 180 hours throughout the year. In the dōjō, you will have regular and consistent training under the guidance of experienced iaidō teachers.

• Fūgetsudō Association is affiliated with The Dutch Kendō Federation (NKR), the officially recognised organisation for Kendō, Jodō and Iaidō in the Netherlands. Teachers and members of Fūgetsudō are obliged to become a member of NKR.
  NKR is recognised by NOC*NSF through membership in the Federation of Eastern Martial Arts (FOG), and also affiliated with the International Kendo Federation (FIK) and the European Kendo Federation (EKF).
  The NKR organises the Dutch Championships and (International) Tournaments, as well as central trainings, seminars and dan-grade examinations all around the year. The organisation also handles the member administrations for EKF.

• Fūgetsudō Dōjō is affiliated with Shōushikai Budō Juku in Japan and Anadolu Iaidō in Turkiye. Dōjō leaders are regularly training under the supervision of Selçuk BURNAZ Sensei (Renshi 7th Dan Iaidō) and attending the seminars and lessons of Norio FURUICHI Sensei (Kyoshi 8th Dan Iaidō) in Europe and Japan.

• Fūgetsudō Dōjō also follows the news and activities of All Japan Kendo Federation (ZNKR), and uses their guidance in teaching the way of the sword.

Membership Fees or the 2025 – 2026 Season:

The basic monthly membership fee of Fūgetsudō is €30.
However we would like to receive lump sum payments, therefore we offer incremental discounts to encourage this.

For 67+ and students:

You can choose one of the three options freely. The secretary of the association will send an invoice accordingly before each term.

Please keep in mind that the membership of Fūgetsudō does not include the membership of NKR. Members of Fūgetsudō dōjō are obliged to become a member of NKR individually.

Terminating your membership

Termination of your membership is also simple, you only need to send an email to the management with your request.
